[A663] GRAVNER IGT VENEZIA GIULIA RIBOLLA (R) 2003 1500ml

Made from the oldest Ribolla Gialla vines in the Runk vineyard, planted in 1915 and 1950, which were uprooted after the 2003 harvest. A selection of the finest grapes was harvested at the end of September and fermented in large Georgian amphorae for about 10 months (spending half of that period on the skins). This legendary wine was aged for six years in oak barrels, bottled exclusively in magnums (1500ml) in 2010, and aged for an additional seven years in the bottle before release.

While Gravner’s classic Ribolla is a blend from multiple sites, this rare cuvée originates entirely from the single, historic "Runk" plot. Reflecting the infamously hot and dry 2003 vintage, it delivers an extraordinary level of power, multi-layered depth, and dense concentration. This heat is perfectly balanced by a deep, savory minerality and incredibly refined tannins, a testament to the centenarian vines and the unprecedented 13-year aging process. It stands as a monumental masterpiece, presenting a flavor profile completely distinct from his standard bottlings.
