Domaine de Chassorney - Aurélien Verdet

 

Frédéric Cossard established Domaine de Chassorney in 1996. Over the past 30 years, he has owned and managed vineyards in Saint-Romain, Volnay, Savigny-lès-Beaune, and Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, elevating them to be among the top vineyards in those appellations.

In 2019, Frédéric Cossard formed a partnership with his long-time friend Aurélien Verdet, who would eventually succeed him at Domaine de Chassorney. Together, they produced wines during a three-year transition period. The 2022 vintage is the first produced under the leadership of Aurélien Verdet, who has fully adopted Frédéric Cossard's methods and philosophy. The wax cap color has been changed to orange, and the wine is bottled in a heavy-weight bottle.

Meanwhile, the "FREDERIC COSSARD" labels for Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny, and others will continue to be handled by Frédéric and Laure Cossard as usual.
