[A662] GRAVNER IGT VENEZIA GIULIA RIBOLLA 2012 1500ml
Made from Ribolla Gialla grapes, a variety that has been cultivated in this region for over a thousand years. Fermented by wild yeasts with no temperature control, the wine undergoes an extensive skin-contact maceration in buried Georgian amphorae. After drawing off and pressing, it is returned to the amphorae for at least five more months before aging in large oak barrels for six years. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration.
In the glass, it pours a deep, luminous amber—a signature of Gravner’s prolonged skin contact. The nose is incredibly complex, unfolding with rich aromas of dried apricot, orange peel, beeswax, and roasted nuts, layered with hints of wild herbs, sweet spices, and mineral depth. On the palate, it reveals a profound, texturally arresting presence; structured yet seamless, it perfectly balances fine tannins and a vibrant, lingering acidity. This is not just a wine, but a meditative experience.
