While Cossard's Pinot Noirs—like Bedeau—always have that sophisticated, stylish character, this Fleurie’s appeal lies in its wild side. As usual, it comes from old vines that yield dense, concentrated juice. The 2023 vintage is especially rich and packed, with plenty of ripe tannins. It feels a little rough right after opening—but that’s part of its charm. As time passes, the wine softens and rounds out beautifully. That too is delightful.

The 80-year-old Gamay vines yield small quantities of dense, concentrated juice. Fermentation is carried out with whole clusters. For the élevage, they used egg-shaped cement tanks to draw out pure fruit expression.
