[B287] ETIENNE CALSAC CHAMPAGNE ROSE DE CRAIE 750ml
Champagne Etienne Calsac
Based in Avize, a prestigious village in the Côte des Blancs, Etienne Calsac is one of the most exciting young growers (Récoltant-Manipulant) in modern Champagne.
Since taking over his grandparents' vineyards in 2010, Calsac has transformed the family estate by championing organic viticulture, biodiversity, and minimal intervention in the cellar. He meticulously tends to 2.8 hectares of old vines spread across prime terroirs in Avize, Grauves, and Bisseuil. Utilizing indigenous yeasts, barrel fermentation, and low dosages, Calsac crafts champagnes that are praised for their crystalline purity, laser-like minerality, and vibrant energy.
Rosé de Craie
Extra BrutThe Luminous Fusion of Chalk and Red Fruit. Named after the iconic chalk soils (craie) of the region, Rosé de Craie is a brilliant demonstration of Etienne Calsac’s precision and terroir-driven philosophy. This exceptional rosé d’assemblage is crafted using a unique approach: Calsac takes the precise, mineral-rich Chardonnay base from his flagship L'Échappée Belle (sourced from Grauves, Bisseuil, and Côte de Sézanne) and meticulously blends it with approximately 8% to 10% of still Pinot Noir from top-tier parcels. The goal is not to create a heavy, dark rosé, but rather a pale-hued, ultra-fresh expression that seamlessly respects the crystalline, vertical identity of the estate’s Blanc de Blancs.
