Les Damodes is located on the border with Vosne-Romanée. This cuvée is crafted from a tiny 0.3-hectare parcel of Vieilles Vignes over 55 years of age in Les Damodes. It undergoes a four-week maceration and a four-week fermentation using indigenous yeasts in wooden vats.

The 2018 vintage shows a striking contrast to 2017, showcasing a different character. It features a warm, rounded, and fleshy texture with rich extract. Perhaps due to its location, there are elements reminiscent of Vosne-Romanée, but a unique earthiness distinctly marks it as Nuits-Saint-Georges. While Les Damodes consists of both Village and Premier Cru climats, this bottling is classified as a Village wine. However, once tasted, it becomes clear that the quality easily rivals or even surpasses that of many producers' Premier Cru wines.
