By using 100% of this unique grape, he brings out a hidden beauty in Mourvèdre that no one had noticed before. Although it boasts considerable concentration, its smooth, rounded texture and refined acidity make it wonderfully lively and finely detailed.

Frédéric Cossard is a top producer in Burgundy, yet he is completely free of stubbornness or pretentiousness. If he thinks it's good, he will unhesitatingly source grapes from other regions, creating remarkable wines with incredible sensibility and technique. This is something that other producers in Burgundy rarely do.
