Bigotes 2023 has dense fruit, pronounced minerality, and vibrant acidity. These are all on a grand scale and finely defined, making the wine feel fresh in its own distinctive way. We feel that Frédéric Cossard has become more skilled in his approach to vinification and ageing without using barrels.

Bigotes is a great natural wine classic, made from Chardonnay from the Puligny-Montrachet area, near Volnay and Pommard. The age of the vines is over 55 years. Frédéric Cossard produces wine exclusively from old vines. The fruit and mineral characteristics are well-balanced at a high level.
