Like in 2022, the fruitiness is rich, but compared to the softer impression of 2022, the 2023 vintage has more structure. Flowers, fruit, earth, and sunlight appear in rapid succession, yet it quickly comes together to form an orderly interplay of shades and shadows. This is unquestionably a successful work of Domaine de Chassorney in a great vintage.

From the lieu-dit Les Gollardes, located in the northwest part of the appellation, Frédéric Cossard took over this plot from a friend and managed it from 2007 to 2021. The vineyard area is a mere 0.43 hectares, with an average vine age of over 60 years. The 2023 vintage marks the second harvest since the vineyards were passed to Aurélien Verdet. The wine undergoes whole-cluster fermentation with semi-carbonic maceration in a stainless steel tank. The aging process is conducted in traditional old pièces (228-liter barrels) with some new barrels, resulting in a flawless, classic Burgundy. The wine is elegant and has long-term aging potential.
