This is a precious bottle of Domaine de Chassorney from the legendary Frédéric Cossard era. The two Volnay Premier Crus represent the absolute crown jewels of the domaine’s portfolio.

As expected, long-term cellaring has enhanced the wine's density and richness. It has transformed into an utterly gorgeous wine, now displaying a finer, smoother, and more seamless texture.

Upon initial release, the 2019 was graceful but exhibited a slightly firm and closed character. Since then, the seamless integration of its delicate acidity and tannins has advanced flawlessly, transforming it into a highly stylish wine of impressive silkiness and transparency.

Le Ronceret is a lieu-dit bordering En Champans. This Le Ronceret is located to the north of the other Chassorney's Volnay 1er Cru, Les Lurets, with Les Aussy (also a 1er Cru) lying between them. Although their elevations are almost the same, the character of the wines produced differs. The wine produced from Vieilles Vignes over 70 years old planted on 0.29 ha tiny plot is highly concentrated and rich in tannins. It has a fine texture with a refined and robust structure.
