The 2013 Cuvée Particulière shows clear minerality, fine acidity, and rich fruit, all of which are beautifully integrated in a gentle style. This exceptional balance has remained unchanged since the beginning. We believe this wine is now at its second peak. We can still sense the lychee, ripe mango, and tropical fruit that are characteristic of Gewurztraminer, but they have become very delicate and softly textured. This is the result of long-term ageing.

“Cuvée Particulière” is a French wine term meaning “special blend” or “selection from specific barrels.” It is commonly used to denote a limited wine crafted by a producer from carefully selected grapes from particular parcels or from only the finest barrels, distinct from the standard cuvée. Gérard Schueller’s Gewurztraminer Cuvée Particulière” is composed from Stich, Fusslock and, occasionally, Bilstoecklé.
