At release, this was a wine defined by its freshness. Ten years on, its fruit, acidity, and minerality have integrated more harmoniously, resulting in a supple, gently softened texture. Even so, compared with other Alsace wines, its sharp acidity remains a defining characteristic.

“Cuvée Particulière” is a French wine term meaning “special blend” or “selection from specific barrels.” It is commonly used to denote a limited wine crafted by a producer from carefully selected grapes from particular parcels or from only the finest barrels, distinct from the standard cuvée. Gérard Schueller’s Riesling Cuvée Particulière” is typically composed from two distinct vineyard parcels. It was formerly made from a blend of grapes from excellent parcels such as "Stich," "Fusslock" and, occasionally, "Bilstoecklé," but in recent years it has tended to be produced almost exclusively from grapes harvested in the single parcel "Stich."
