Les Vieux Clos is a stunning expression of Chenin Blanc featuring a touch of botrytis. It is crafted from vines propagated via massal selection from the oldest parcel of Coulée de Serrant, which was originally planted in 1920. Located on the same historic hill as the legendary Coulée de Serrant, its steep, east-facing slopes look directly toward the Loire River.

While it shares the signature depth of Coulée de Serrant and Clos de la Bergerie, Les Vieux Clos is far from a mere "entry-level" wine. Each of Nicolas Joly’s three cuvées possesses its own unique character, scale, and structure, yet all maintain the same incredible concentration of energy. In fact, after long-term aging, it is often difficult to distinguish between Coulée de Serrant and Les Vieux Clos. With a slightly broader, more open texture than its sibling cuvées, Les Vieux Clos is remarkably approachable and effortlessly pairs with a wide range of cuisines.
