A774 ULYSSE COLLIN CHAMPAGNE LES ROISES BLANC DE BLANCS EXTRA BRUT V14 750ml
100% Chardonnay, Blanc de Blancs. Base 2014.
Dégorgement : Mar 2020
Ulysse Collin's "Les Roises" is a small lieu-dit of just 0.62 hectares located in the village of Congy. It is planted with old-vine Chardonnay (60–75 years old) selected via sélection massale. Because a thick layer of red clay sits atop the underlying chalk bedrock, it creates a voluptuous and powerful character that goes far beyond being merely sharp and mineral-driven.
This particular bottle has reached its absolute peak, having undergone an exceptionally long 60 months of aging on the lees prior to disgorgement, followed by more than five additional years of cellar aging in the bottle. Its taste is truly majestic, often compared to that of a Grand Cru white Burgundy.
