The two Volnay Premier Crus represent the absolute crown jewels of the domaine’s portfolio.

As expected, long-term cellaring has enhanced the wine's density and richness. It has transformed into an utterly gorgeous wine, now displaying a finer, smoother, and more seamless texture.

The 2018 vintage has beautifully evolved; its initial, overwhelming concentration at release has transformed into a crystalline focus. Combined with a texture whose edges have softened and rounded out, it has sublimated into a deeply satisfying liquid.

Le Ronceret is a lieu-dit bordering En Champans. This Le Ronceret is located to the north of the other Chassorney's Volnay 1er Cru, Les Lurets, with Les Aussy (also a 1er Cru) lying between them. Although their elevations are almost the same, the character of the wines produced differs. The wine produced from Vieilles Vignes over 70 years old planted on 0.29 ha tiny plot is highly concentrated and rich in tannins. It has a fine texture with a refined and robust structure.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0825/9728/2020/files/chassorney_volnay_roncerets_2018_02_1200x1200_349e82ba-766b-4fd9-adec-ff51b343f48e.jpg?v=1791886319
https://vinetsakenature.com/products/a122-domaine-de-chassorney-frederic-cossard-volnay-1er-cru-roncerets-2018-750ml
